The St. John's nursery provides loving care for babies and toddlers up to 4 years old during the 10:00 a.m Contemporary service. Children older than 4 years old may attend Sunday School or remain with their parents during the church service.
The nursery is located at the top of the stairs to the right. Parents can drop off their little ones before the service starts and pick them up again right after Communion.
Sunday School is provided for children ages 5-11 during the 10:00 a.m. service. We offer a Bible based program led by a rotating group of dedicated teachers in a homey, one-room environment.
We leave the sanctuary together after the reading of the Gospel. Once upstairs, we sing, pray, learn and have fellowship before returning to the sanctuary in time for Communion.
Families are also welcome to keep their children with them for worship and teaching in the church setting.
At St. John's, our children's programs focus on the life and lessons of Christ through Bible reading, prayer, memory, hands-on table activities, song and liturgical guidance.
The MIddle School program draws on the framework provided in Sunday School and is intended to be a smaller group for engaged conversation. Through Bible lessons, prayer, and cultivated discussion, our goal is to stimulate increased contemplation of our God. We provide a place for growth in faith, wisdom and virtue, and continued participation in the church body.
